Our 16 Point Inspection breakdown:

 

  • Exterior Inspection: Often overlooked but can tell you a lot. We inspect the complete exterior of your RV for loose or missing hardware, impact damage that may cause leaks, seals around windows, loose trim, water damage, seals around lights and camera, loose covers on hot water heaters/fridges, wiper blades, all access doors, storage compartments for proper operation and ladders.

 

  • Roof Inspection: Arguably the most critical inspection on an RV. We start with all fastening points of the ladder for proper sealing. We then inspect the complete circumference of the roof /seams and caps. We then inspect all skylights for weather cracking and seal. All antennas and satellites are checked for good seals and solid mounting. We check all AC covers for weather cracking and solid mounting followed by the fridge vent cover for cracking and mounting. Lastly all vent caps are checked for cracking and seal. Any cracks caught early enough can save you thousands in water damage repair.

 

  • Tires: Tires are inspected for abnormal wear, tread damage, sidewall damage, weather cracking and lastly air pressure.

 

  • Under Carriage: We check the under carriage for leaks from water, engine, transmission, drive train, differentials and holding tanks. We then inspect for loose and or missing hardware followed by an inspection for any damaged or loose wiring.

 

  • Awnings: We open and extend all awnings (patio, window & slide) to ensure proper operation of all mechanicals, locks and handles. We also inspect for wear or damaged fabric and lastly proper spring tension on the roller tubes/barrels.

 

  • Shore Power: We inspect the shore power cord, adapters and outlet for damage.

 

  • Converter: We inspect that the power is coming into the RV (110 V) and also that the batteries are receiving a charge (12V).

 

  • Batteries: We inspect the house and chassis batteries for proper fluid level and load test to ensure they will hold a charge. We also inspect the terminals for clean and tight connections.

 

  • Interior Inspection: We move slides out to check for proper operation and inspect inner and outer seals for proper fitment. We inspect all windows, skylights, walls and ceiling for water damage. We then inspect for loose, damaged or missing hardware.

 

  • Lights: We inspect all lights and switches for proper operation and voltage. We also inspect all GFI outlets for proper operation.

 

  • LP/CO Detectors: We inspect the LP (liquid propane) detectors and the CO (carbon monoxide) detectors to ensure that they are within the compliant time frame for age and then we test for proper operation.

 

  • Fire/Smoke Alarm: All fire/smoke alarms are inspected for proper mounting and operation.

 

  • Furnace: We turn on the propane and check for leaks. We then turn on the furnace and check for proper operation (heat with no carbon monoxide).

  • Doors/Drawers: We inspect all doors and drawers for proper operation. (2)

 

  • 110V Power: We inspect all 110v lights and switches for proper operation and voltage. We also inspect all GFI outlets for proper operation and ensure microwave is powered where applicable. (3)

 

  • Lights: We inspect all 12V lights and switches for proper operation and voltage. (1)

 

 

  • Propane: Verify Propane/LP valves and switches are on and not leaking. (2)

 

  • Meter/Monitor: Inspect meter/monitor panel for power and proper operation. (black, gray, fresh, batteries and propane levels). (2)

 

  • Tanks: Inspect the black and gray tanks for leaks, gate valves in place and working properly. We also verify tanks are empty. (3)

 

  • Water: Verify that the RV low point drains are closed and the water tank is full. Also verify that the valves on water panel are in the correct setting were applicable. (2)

 

  • Hot Water Heater Drain: Ensure water heater drain is installed and anode rod is within wear limits were applicable. (1)

 

  • Water Pump: Turn water pump on verifying proper operation. Inspect all switches where applicable. Check for leaks. (1)

 

  • Faucets: Turn all faucets on/off to purge air from the water lines to verify pressure and check for leaks. (1)

 

  • Stove/Oven: We inspect the stove and valves for proper operation while also checking the oven for proper operation. (2)

 

 

  • Furnace: We inspect the furnace and check for proper operation (heat with no carbon monoxide). (1)

 

  • Fridge/Freezer: First we inspect the LP portion of the fridge for proper operation and then check the 110V for proper operation. (2)

 

  • Hot Water Heater: We inspect the LP portion of the hot water heater for proper operation and then the electric element where applicable. The pressure relief valve is inspected also. (3)

 

  • Hot Water: Inspect all faucets for proper hot water flow. (1)

 

  • Insta-Hot: Insta-hot systems are inspected for proper operation in hot water and furnace operation where applicable. (3)

 

  • LP/CO Detectors: We inspect the LP (liquid propane) detectors and the CO (carbon monoxide) detectors to ensure that they are within the compliant time frame for age and then we test for proper operation. (2)

 

  • Fire/Smoke Alarm: All fire/smoke alarms are inspected for proper mounting and operation. (1)

 

  • AC Units: We inspect the AC units for proper operation on shore power (110V) individually. (1)

 

  • Generator: Inspect generator fluids and proper running condition where applicable. (1)

 

  • Transfer Switch: We remove the shore power and run generator verifying that the transfer switch is working properly and the RV is powered with 110V. (microwave, fridge, outlets) where applicable. (1)

 

  • AC Units: We inspect proper running condition of all AC units to verify proper power output from the generator where applicable. (1)

 

  • Leveling System: The leveling system is inspected for proper operation (electric, hydraulic or manual). Fluids added if low. (1)

 

  • Electric beds: Electric beds are inspected for proper lowering and raising, where applicable. (1)

 

  • Step: Inspect step for proper operation. (1)

 

  • Fuel Station: Fuel stations are inspected for proper operation and safety shut off where applicable. (1)

 

  • Chassis Fluids: We inspect and fill all chassis fluids (engine, transmission, brake, coolant and windshield fluid). (5)

 

  • Parking Brake: We inspect the parking brake for proper operation and adjustment. Mechanical and air. (1)

 

  • Ignition/Camera: We inspect the ignition for proper operation and power to rear camera operation where applicable. (2)

 

  • Windshield and Wipers: We inspect the windshield condition, windshield seals, wiper blades and washer fluid operation. (3)

 

  • Exterior Lights: We inspect headlights hi/low, turn signals, back up lights and all marker lights. (4)
